BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to Kern County Sheriff's Office one man is dead following a hit and run in East Bakersfield just after midnight Sunday morning.
KCSO officials said the hit and run took place on Edison Highway.
The pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
KCSO has identified the victim as 34-year-old Marco Garcia.
California highway patrol is investigating the hit and run and if you have any information all CHP at 661-396 -6600.
