A man is suffering from life threatening injuries after a vehicle versus pedestrian accident in Southwest Bakersfield Tuesday night.

The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. in the intersection of Wilson Road and Westminster Drive.

The adult male victim was taken to the hospital.

According to BPD, the male subject crossed the road outside of the crosswalk northbound when he was hit by a westbound vehicle.

The driver remained at the scene.

Drugs, alcohol, and speed do not appear to be a factor.
