UPDATE (October 23, 2017 5:25 am): The suspect is in stable, but critical condition, according to BPD. There are no other updates at this time.

One man is in the hospital after being shot at the Vagabond Inn in south Bakersfield on Sunday night.

Bakersfield Police say they got a call for shots fired in the 6500 block of Colony Street at about 8:50 p.m. on Sunday night.

When they arrived, officers found one adult man suffering from major injuries. Police say the victim was shot on the balcony of the Vagabond Inn on Colony. He was then transported to the hospital and his current condition is unknown. 

There is no suspect information at this time and BPD is currently investigating.
