BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A hit-and-run collision killed one pedestrian in East Bakersfield Saturday night.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the pedestrian was struck near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Texas Street.

It is unclear how the collision occurred. The victim was pronounced dead on scene.

The vehicle fled, according to BPD and a description is not available yet.
