Saturday night the Bakersfield Police Department held a DUI checkpoint on Oak Street near Alexander Street.

The checkpoint was held between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m.

One driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Six drivers were cited for driving without a license.

Five drivers were detained for further evaluation.
