Kern County Fire crews responded to reports of a home on fire in the 1100 block of Concord St., in west Delano Wednesday night.
Upon arrival crews were faced with a bedroom on fire that was threatening the neighbors house and extending into the attic space.
There was also a report of someone inside not accounted for.
Firefighters knocked the fire down and the missing person was located outside with minor burns to the foot and hand.
The cause is under investigation. Loss to the structure was $60,000 with an approximate save of $80,000.
