The Grapevine was shut down for a period of time due to a deadly collision Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim, identified as 69-year-old Rose M. Brooks was out of her vehicle along the southbound lanes of the Grapevine just north of Sabodan Street shortly before 7 p.m.
That's when a vehicle struck the Brooks.
CHP units restricted several lanes in the area for a few hours and began reopening them at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday night
CHP has not confirmed whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
