UPDATE: Wednesday, May 23 KCSO officially determined the manner of death to be a homicide. The victim was found with multiple stab and incised wounds.

Friday morning, Kern County Sheriff deputies said one male was found in the area near Whisler Road and Highway 99 around 6:15 a.m.
Deputies said when they arrived they found a male dead with obvious traumatic injuries. The coroner's office has identified the man as 18-year-old Markus Damian Aboytes of Delano.
