One person is dead following a crash just north of Bakersfield.
It happened around two on Saturday at Granite Road, near Woody Granite Road.
According to California Highway Patrol a motorcyclist was riding on granite road when they attempted to avoid a left-hand curb and lost control. CHP and Hall Ambulance were called to the scene where the rider was pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified by the Kern County Coroner's Office as 57-year-old Trent Mervin Maas of Glennville.
