The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a stabbing that happened Saturday morning in northeast Bakersfield. 

It happened in the 4400 block of Columbus, between University Ave and Panorama Drive. 

Police said the call came in around 8:30 a.m. when officers responded they found a victim with minor to moderate injuries. 

Police said they didn't have anyone in custody and the suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'8" and a medium build.

Officials were unsure at the time what led up to the stabbing.
