Juvenile diabetes research supporters will lace up their shoes for the 19th annual JDRF One Walk event this Saturday.
The walk aims to raise over $100,000 to help fund Type 1 Diabetes research.
About 85% of the money raised goes toward research.
The event is organized by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. The Bakersfield event is one of more than 200 community One Walks nationwide.
