BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The popular fitness studio Orangetheory will be opening a location in Bakersfield late August, according to a representative of the fitness company.

The representative tells 23ABC that the staff members are currently gearing up for the grand opening which is scheduled around August 26.

The company's website currently says it will be "coming soon" to 12838 Stockdale Highway.

Orangetheory describes its approach to fitness as a one-hour, science-backed, technology tracked, coach-inspired group workout designed to maximize results.

According to the website, there will be special pre-opening rates offered. A rep also told 23ABC that they will host a special VIP week of classes before the grand-opening to members who sign up early for a membership.
