Update: According to PG&E, there are wires down. Officials do not know if the wind has caused the outages. Crews are on the scene working to restore power.

Over 1,800 people are without power in Oildale. According to PG&E's website, the outage started just after 5 p.m.
Right now the cause of the outage is still unknown, crews are on the scene trying to figure it out.
They expect to have power restored at around 10:30 p.m.
