Cases of valley fever are becoming prevalent in kids.

Doctors here in the county are warning parents to pay attention to flu-like symptoms that last longer than a week.

Many are raising awareness to shed light on the disease.

Local doctors at Valley Children's Medical Group say over 500 pediatric patients are treated for Valley Fever a year.

Local teen, Estefini Garcia was wrestling when she noticed rashes on her legs - a common symptom of  Valley Fever. 

While there is no cure for the disease, it is treatable.
