Power outage in Central and South Bakersfield after car crashes into pole

(UPDATE: October 5, 1:40 p.m.) According to PG&E, 112 customers are still without power. The company says power is expected to be restored by October 5 at 10 p.m.

(UPDATE: October 5, 2018 12:44 p.m.) According to PG&E, 193 customers are still without power. The company says power is expected to be restored around October 6 at 6 a.m.

(UPDATE: October 5, 2018 11:14 a.m.) According to PG&E, 193 customers are still without power. Power is expected to be restored around 12:45 p.m.

Over 2,000 people are currently without power in Central and South Bakersfield. 

According to PG&E, the outage started around 9:30 a.m. this morning. Power is expected to be returned around 12:45 p.m. 

PG&E says the outage was caused by a car that hit a power pole.
