On December 13, 2016, Kern County Sheriff's Office Delano substation deputies were called for reports of a stolen vehicle in the Delano area.
The owner of the stolen vehicle saw his vehicle being driven and provided information on the direction the vehicle was being driven. Deputies located the stolen vehicle inside of the city of Delano at a car wash on Vasser Street and Cecil Avenue.
24-year-old Jose Espino Reyes and 22-year-old Cynthia Rodriguez were found inside the car. One loaded firearm and an unloaded rifle were also located inside of the vehicle.
Reyes was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a loaded firearm inside of vehicle. Rodriguez was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and had two active misdemeanor warrants for her arrest.
