A parking lot across from the CSUB campus has become a target for vehicle break-ins, less than two weeks after students returned from summer break.

Students park in the parking lot located on Stockdale Highway and Don Hart Drive.   While students are in class, someone is breaking car windows and stealing valuables from inside parked vehicles. 

The parking lot is owned by the city and not part of the university, so Bakersfield police is handling any reports coming into the department.  Bakersfield police says prior to this -- there were just three vehicle burglaries since the beginning of the year
