The paving of a new roundabout at State Route 43 (Enos Lane) and Stockdale Highway will require lane changes that could affect traffic from Tuesday through Friday.

According to the City of Bakersfield, "personnel will need to stop eastbound and westbound traffic on Stockdale Highway as well as northbound and southbound traffic on State Route 43 (on the south side of Stockdale Highway) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m." This will result in traffic being stopped for up to 10 minutes at a time in the area.

The city recommends that drivers find alternates routes or allow for extra time.

Construction could be delayed or rescheduled depending on weather or unexpected circumstances.

The city asks that drivers "please slow down and watch for construction workers and equipment while driving through the work zone."
