BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — UPDATE: The Kern County Sheriff's Office identified the woman as 22-year-old Chrystal Dawn Scheer.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash Saturday evening that left one woman dead.

CHP said just after 7 p.m. Saturday, a vehicle traveling north on Airport Drive hit a woman who ran across the road. CHP said a second car then ran over the woman. She died at the scene.

CHP said it's unclear which collision led to her death.
