A pedestrian was hit near a high school in Northwest Bakersfield. 

According to BPD, a 16-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a 16-year-old female driver in a Dodge Ram truck in the student parking lot of Frontier High School in Northwest Bakersfield. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

BPD says they are both Frontier High School students. Investigators do not believe drugs, alcohol, or speed were factors in the crash.
