BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A pedestrian who was hit and killed on Union Avenue has been identified.

According to BPD, on November 19 around 8:35 p.m., 53-year-old Juventino Olvera Garcia of Earlimart, CA., has hit by a vehicle on the 300 block of Union Avenue in East Bakersfield. Garcia died at the scene from his injuries. According to a postmortem examination, Garcia died of blunt force injuries. His death was ruled an accident.

Garcia was identified by fingerprints.
