Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Northeast Bakersfield suffers major injuries

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A pedestrian suffered major injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Northeast Bakersfield Saturday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol traffic page, the vehicle fled after the incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. near Bernard and Baker Streets.

Several CHP units are on scene investigating.
