Peeple app would allow individuals to be rated

Posted

Imagine a mobile app that would allow you to rate everyone you know. In turn, everyone you know, would be able to rate you. That's exactly what the Peeple app, that's set to launch on October 12, 2015 would do.

Just think about the equivalent of Yelp reviews, but instead of rating businesses, people would rank one another. This would include co-workers, friends, family, and even ex-lovers.

While the idea seems terrifying, CEO and co- founder of the app, Julia Cordray, wrote in a LinkedIn blog, that her intention is to make a positive change.

Cordray, a native Canadian explains in her blog post that she has experienced first hand how "negative comments can be made about you without your approval."

Unfortunately, Cordray is unable to delete these posts and reverse the damages. So, she decided to create an app in which only positive commentary is accepted.

"We want to bring positivity and kindess to the world," said Cordray in her blog post.
