A little before 2 P.M. Wednesday afternoon, Bakersfield Police Department officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Sowerby Village Lane in East Bakersfield.
Officers were called to assist bail agents in taking a suspect into custody.
The suspect remained barricaded for nearly two hours as officers looked over fences and stood by the garage door.
Just before 4 P.M., officers and the K-9 unit entered the house and arrested the suspect.
Reports say that the suspect was hiding in the attic.
Neighbors gathered outside to watch the scene. Many said that the neighborhood is relatively quiet, except for a few neighbors that frequently play loud music or do donuts in the street.
BPD says the man is a 45-year-old.
