BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department confirmed that one person died Tuesday afternoon after they were struck by train in East Bakersfield.

BPD officials said it happened around 2:20 p.m. on the tracks of of E. Truxtun Avenue.

When officers arrived they found the victim dead at the scene.
