A person has died after they were hit by a freight train early this morning.
According to BNSF Railway, the crash happened around 5:05 a.m. BNSF says a freight train struck a "trespasser" between Bakersfield and Jastro.
BNSF says the crash did not happen at a designated crossing.
Train operations resumed at 8:05 a.m.
