A man was hit by a train in East Bakersfield earlier this afternoon.
Police say it happened around 2 p.m. on the tracks near Baker Street and East Truxtun Avenue.
The victim is suffering major to moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
Officials say drugs, alcohol or speed do not appear to be factors in this collision.
The victim has not yet been identified.
