BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Meet our Pet of the Week, Pixie!
Pixie is a three-year-old chihuahua who is looking for a lap to lounge on. Pixie and her puppy were found as strays and brought to Kern County Animal Services with both of their trails rotting and falling off. They both had what is known as "dead tail", which is typically caused by some sort of trauma.
Pixie's tail has been successfully removed and she's feeling much much better! The stitches come out soon and she is looking for her furever home now.
Her puppy still has a few weeks left before he can be adopted.
Pixie is great around kids and cats.
