PG&E has announced a PSPS event that would impact hundreds of residents in Kern County.

The electric company says they have already begun notifying customers of the shut offs that would begin on Monday evening, then be restored on Wednesday evening.

According to the PG&E website 762 customers total would be impacted by the shut offs with a majority of those customers being unincorporated areas of the county, 16 customers in Maricopa would be impacted, while 5 customers in Bakersfield would be impacted.

PG&E says their meterogolists are monitoring dry wind conditions that could lead to additional outages.
