BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — PG&E announced Wednesday that it plans to move forward with a Public Safety Power Shutoff scheduled for Thursday in several counties, including Kern County.
PG&E officials said the power shutoff will impact 33 customers in Kern County which is reportedly down from the original 75 they estimated Tuesday. The Kern County customers impacted are in Lebec (2), Arvin (12), and Bakersfield (19).
The shutoffs are expected to begin on Thursday around 1 a.m.. According to PG&E officials, forecasts indicate the peak period of winds should end around noon Friday in Kern County.
