PG&E may shut off power to about 850,000 customers starting Saturday, including Kern County

KERN COUNTY, Calif. — Due to potentially dry and windy weather forecast for Saturday, PG&E announced that it may have to shut off power to over 850,000 customers between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday and lasting through Monday.

Of those affected customers, 842 are in Kern County, including residents in Arvin, Bakersfield, Lebec, and Grapevine.

Customers have been notified that they may be impacted.

Those most affected by the shut off include customers in the counties of El Dorado (2,774), Sonoma (2,695), Lake (2,170), Santa Cruz (2,095), and Humboldt (2,057).
