Pacific Gas and Electric customers can trade in their indoor holiday lights for free LED lights at Home Depot on Tuesday.

The trade-in event begins at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21 at the Home Depot located at 8700 Rosedale Highway. Customers can exchange up to three incandescent holiday light strands for up to three LED strands.

According to PG&E, LED lights consume 75 percent less energy than traditional holiday lights, and produce less heat.

The old lights that are exchanged will be donated to BARC to be recycled.
