Pine Mountain Club homeowners are upset after they said one of their neighbors shot and killed a bear this morning.

The shooting happened just after 1 a.m. near the intersection of Dom and St. Bernard.

A 23ABC viewer said the homeowner shot the bear after he was found threatening his chickens and rabbits.

The viewer said the shooting was upsetting because there are only a number of bears in the area.

The Department of Fish and Wildlife says shooting was justified because the man felt threatened and they have closed their investigation.
