The Rotaract Club of Bakersfield is sponsoring a blood drive today, Tuesday August 29, 2017 in which all donors will receive one adult pass to the upcoming Kern County Fair.
The blood drive will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Iron Arms Gym.
Houchin Community Blood Bank will have two mobile blood buses there, and the public is encouraged to donate at this evening drive.
The drive is the fifth of it's kind, the annual Pint for a Pass blood drive that encourages donors by giving them a free adult pass to the fair.
Donors will also be able to enjoy refreshments, as well as get the opportunity to get coupons for a free drink with a meal purchase at Salty's BBQ and a Route 44 drink at the nearby Sonic Drive-In.
Blood donors must be in good health, weigh 110 pounds, and be 18 years of age or older.
Those who are 16 and 17 are allowed to donate as long as they have parental consent.
For more information on blood donations you can call (661) 323-4222.
