Bakersfield College confirmed a car backed into a fire hydrant Tuesday around noon, causing it to spill water. 

The hydrant is in front of the Fine Arts building. The Maintenance and Operations team at Bakersfield College shut off the water to the hydrant by cutting the valve. 

No buildings were affected by the water being cut off.
