Robbery at Tacos El Dorado puts Plantation Elementary on lockdown, two arrested

UPDATE (May 10, 2017 8:40 p.m.): BPD has identified the two suspects as 24-year-old Kevin Hull and 23-year-old Kawan Crawford. Both have been charged with carrying a loaded firearm, robbery, assault, and other charges.

UPDATE (May 10, 2017 11:29 a.m.): BPD said they received the call about a robbery at Tacos El Dorado about 9:10 a.m. Wednesday. 

Two suspects were found in the area of Calcutta Drive, but both took off running and BPD says they ditched their guns. 

One suspect was caught. The other suspect, described as a black man wearing a t-shirt and brown cargo shorts is still on the loose.

UPDATE (May 10, 2017 10:37 a.m.): Bakersfield Police said two men robbed a taco shop in the area before leaving the scene.

Police say they found two guns that they believe were tossed by the suspects. 

One suspect has been taken into custody, while the search continues for the second.

Heavy police presence in Southeast Bakersfield has led to a lockdown at Plantation Elementary.

It's unknown what's causing the police presence, but multiple Bakersfield Police officers are in the area of White Lane and Fambrough Drive.
