BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — KCSO are working to locate a suspect in the area of Oswell Street and East Brundage Lane in East Bakersfield.

According to KCSO, just before 6 p.m., deputies responded to the area for a victim of a shooting. The shooting occurred in the area of 5600 Eucalyptus Drive when an unknown suspect driving a purple sedan shot at the victim.

KCSO said that the victim was not injured, but bullet strikes were found on his car.

According to KCSO they completed their search for the suspect and were unable to locate him. While investigating, they discovered a few hundred marijuana plants, a stolen vehicle, four individuals with arrest warrants and three firearms.

The incident is under investigation.
