The California Highway Patrol said Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. officers saw a motorcycle speeding at more than 100 mile per hour on Airport Drive.

When officers ran the license plate, the motorcycle came back stolen.

CHP tried to stop the motorcycle and a pursuit ensued. CHP handled the chase on Highway 99 and the Kern County Sheriff's Office took over the pursuit through Shafter, chasing him back into the Rosedale Area.

The chase finally came to an end on Renfro Road just south of Palm Ave.

There was a passenger on the motorcycle, but that person was not arrested.

The driver, Troy Stacy, 41, was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, reckless evading a peace officer, driving with a suspended license and more.

He is currently being held on $50,000 bail and is expected in court on Tuesday, May 2.
