UPDATE (May 14, 2017 1:06 p.m.): Officers were dispatched to two unresponsive males sitting on a bus bench near White Lane and Gosford Saturday afternoon.

Officials and medical personnel attempted CPR on both people. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Foul play is not suspected at this time. White Lane was closed for two hours during the investigation.

Police found two bodies near a Fastrip on White Lane and Gosford Road in Southwest Bakersfield Saturday afternoon.

Officers on scene told 23ABC they believe the two died from a suspected overdose.

Police said the call came in around 4:20 p.m. 

Eastbound lanes of White Lane near Gosford Road were blocked off while police investigate.
