Police looking for two suspects in City Food Market robbery

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspects wanted for robbery.

On May 24, 2017 at 9:14 a.m., two suspects entered the City Food Market located at 900 Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard near California Avenue and selected several items. Both suspects attempted to exit the store without paying for the items, at which time an employee confronted the suspects.

Both suspects pushed the employee and were able to run from the business on foot. The suspects are described as:

Suspect 1: Black male 18-20 years of age, short black hair, wearing a black shirt, and black jeans

Suspect 2: Black male 18-20 years of age, short black hair, wearing a blue and white collared shirt, and blue jean shorts
