On July 26, 2016, McFarland police officers were dispatched to the 600 block of 3rd Place for a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene and located one victim who was shot several times. The victim was transported by ambulance to Kern Medical Center.

The condition of the victim is not known at this time and the identity of the victim is not being released.
