Bakersfield police are warning home owners in Northwest Bakersfield about garage burglaries.
Suspects are getting in to locked cars in the driveway, opening the garage door with the remote, and taking what they can.
Police advise to always take garage remotes inside, make sure cars are locked, and never leave anything visible inside a vehicle. Park cars in the garage if possible, and lock the exterior garage door.
