Across California, polling sites opened at 7 this morning. 

23ABC visited polling places across Bakersfield and saw lines moving smoothly. 

At the Kern County Regsitrar's Office, there was a drive-thru line where voters could drop off their ballots to one of the volunteers without having to get out of their car. 

It is important to keep in mind polling places in California close tonight at 8. 

If you plan on voting today, verify beforehand your designated polling place.
