Porterville losing 145 jobs after business purchase of manufacturing plant

Approximately 145 people will be without a job in Porterville due to Beckman Coulter’s circuit board manufacturing plant closing, The Business Journal reported.

Jabil Circuit, based in Florida, purchased the Porterville assets of Beckman Coulter.

All operations in Porterville will be phased out over the next two years and all operations will be moved to Malaysia.

 

The company has been in Porterville since 1965.
