BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — (UPDATE) PG&E is reporting power has been restored to thousands in East Bakersfield.
Around 5 p.m. PG&E reported over 2,000 customers in East Bakersfield were without power. They have since cleared that area.
PG&E is reporting a power outage impacting a total of 2,260 customers in East Bakersfield.
According to PG&E's website, the outage started around 3:30 p.m. PG&E said power is expected to be restored at about 6:30 p.m.
The outage is affecting customers living in the area between Edison Highway and College Avenue and from just east of Oswell Street to west of Paul L. Cato Middle School, according to the website.
The cause is still under investigation.
