Nearly 400 PG&E customers in Northwest Bakersfield are without power Thursday morning.

According to the Pacific Gas & Electric website, the outage was first reported just after 1:30 a.m.

Initially, more than 1,000 customers were without power. As of right now that number has been downgraded to just over 380.

The outage is being reported just west of Coffee between Hageman and Olive Drive.

The PG&E website states that the cause is due to a damaged underground power cable.

The site estimates the power to be fully restored by 3 p.m.
