Two power outages affecting nearly 1,000 customers in Southwest Bakersfield area

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Update: 9:55 p.m.: The outages are affecting approximately 1,000 people at this time.

Two power outages covering a large portion of Southwest Bakersfield are affecting nearly 4,000 people

According to PG&E, the first outage is in the area between South H Street and Planz Road and has an estimated restoration for 10:30 p.m.

The second outage began at approximately 9 p.m. and is between New Stine Road and Ming Avenue. Power is estimated to be restored in the area at around 10:45 p.m.

It is unknown what caused these outages at this time, but PG&E is assessing the scenes.
