UPDATE 6:55 A.M. : According to PG&E, the power outage is now impacting 138 customers. PG&E confirms a car accident caused the outage.

According to Bakersfield Police, an accident on Planz Road and Sandra Drive caused the outage. Officials say a car hit a power pole causing the outage. BPD says injuries are moderate. 

5:30 A.M. : There is a power outage in South Bakersfield impacting 2,316 customers.

There is a power outage in South Bakersfield impacting 3,357 customers.
The cause is unknown right now and a PG&E is assessing the outage.
