Power Outage in Southeast Bakersfield Leaves Hundreds Without Power

Hundreds Without Power in Southeast Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — More than 500 Pacific Gas & Electric customers in Southeast Bakersfield are currently without power, according to PG&E's outage map.

A total of 55 customers off of East Panama Lane lost power just before 4 a.m. Monday, and it was determined that this outage was due to a car hitting a power pole. PG&E is sending a repair crew to this location and estimates the power will be restored by 2:22 p.m.

The outage map also shows an additional 462 customers in the area of East Panama Lane and Cottonwood Road who lost power just after 8 a.m. Monday. The cause of this outage is still under investigation, and PG&E estimates these customers will have their power restored by 12:15 p.m.
