UPDATE (Dec. 4, 4:13 p.m.) Pacific Gas & Electric said power is restored to the nearly 3,000 customers who lost power in Bakersfield Monday morning.
PG&E said a downed power line caused the outage.

Nearly 3,000 Pacific Gas & Electric customers in Bakersfield are without power Monday morning.
According to PG&E's website, the outage stretches from near Brimhall to the north to near White Lane to the south and from just past Jewetta to the east to past Renfro to the West.
Classes at Bakersfield Christian have been cancelled for the day.
A cause of the outage is not known.
PG&E's website states power should be fully restored just after 1 p.m.
